Noah Ament

Noah Ament has been actively involved in the options markets since 1996.

Mr. Ament has successfully traded equity, index and commodity options. His trading career began on the CBOE in 1996. He then moved to San Francisco, where he traded options on technology stocks, including some of the most volatile stocks ever to trade. After trading equity options for 6 years, Mr. Ament moved on to trading the SPX Index from an off floor trading desk.

In 2006 Mr. Ament left the active trading and market making arena to focus on his consulting business, Strategic Options Consulting. At SOC, Mr. Ament worked with hedge funds, fund of funds and a very well known family office to assist them in all aspects of options trading. He provided analysis, taught options theory, assisted with execution and was frequently quoted by Bloomberg and other financial news outlets for his options expertise.

Mr. Ament has always had a passion for teaching other people about options and their uses. His motto is – “Options, when used properly, can significantly increase your profits while considerably lowering your risk".
